Mission Statement 

The mission of Kankakee School District 111's Technology Department is to provide an unparalleled technology experience that strives to endure and continually advance the curricular, instructional, and administrative functions of our district. We will strive to meet and accept the vision of our students, parents, and administrative district staff with open-mindedness and with a heartfelt welcoming approach. 


Department Overview 

The Technology Department oversees the information systems, network services, telecommunications, and end-user support services. This department maintains over thirty file servers and 2,600 computers district-wide. We maintain a twelve building fiber optic wide area network in which each building interfaces with a high speed fiber optic link to the Internet. These buildings are also connected to a seamless wireless infrastructure that allows students and staff to be mobile. The district’s network is accessible to over 11,000 authorized users which includes students, staff, and parents/guardians. The district utilizes Microsoft Windows, Apple and Google Chrome devices throughout the district.
