     Science/Technology Magnet Program

    • Kennedy's Science Magnet Program provides youngsters with a focus on science and technology. In addition to the traditional classroom learning the basics - reading, language arts, math, and social studies, a special focus is placed on science.
    • Fourth, fifth, and sixth graders explore the areas of life science, physical science, earth science, and the human body. The classroom teacher devotes up to one hour daily to science instruction, using a combination of reading materials, technology, and "hands-on" projects to stimulate the children's interest in science.

    Fine Arts Magnet Program

    • Kennedy's Fine Arts Magnet Program offers intensive and specialized fine arts instruction. Classroom teachers integrate the arts into their subject and curriculum areas.
    • Students will be provided with opportunities to explore the fields of drama, visual arts, dance, musical theater, vocal music, creative writing, and public speaking. These programs enhance the general curriculum. Special field trips, participation in competitions, and school/community performances are planned throughout the year to engage the students in real life performance experiences.
