Kennedy Middle school offers many educational opportunities which also include:
Science/Technology Magnet Program
- Kennedy's Science Magnet Program provides youngsters with a focus on science and technology. In addition to the traditional classroom learning the basics - reading, language arts, math, and social studies, a special focus is placed on science.
- Fourth, fifth, and sixth graders explore the areas of life science, physical science, earth science, and the human body. The classroom teacher devotes up to one hour daily to science instruction, using a combination of reading materials, technology, and "hands-on" projects to stimulate the children's interest in science.
Fine Arts Magnet Program
- Kennedy's Fine Arts Magnet Program offers intensive and specialized fine arts instruction. Classroom teachers integrate the arts into their subject and curriculum areas.
- Students will be provided with opportunities to explore the fields of drama, visual arts, dance, musical theater, vocal music, creative writing, and public speaking.
