About Health Centers:
The Health Centers work alongside school nurses to serve a variety of student health needs. Our school-based Health Centers' staff of doctors, registered nurses, dentists, licensed practical nurses, social workers and nurse practitioners are there to care for you. The are interested in you and your health issues.

Services offered and rendered by the Health Centers at Kankakee School District
- Acute and chronic illness management
- Age-appropriate anticipatory guidance and screening
- Complete physical exam (annual, school, or athletic)
- First-Aid and emergency services
- Immunization administration and reciprocation of immunization data with health departments, clinics, school nurses, and physician offices
- Individual and group health education programs
- Nutritional Education
- Simple on-site lab testing (pregnancy, urine dipstick, blood sugar)
- Parental and postnatal referrals
- Providing copy of physical exam to school nurse and/or athletic department
- Testing, treating, counseling, and referrals for sexually transmitted diseases
- Treatment of conditions that would cause absence of exclusion from school. (headaches, cramps, ringworm, lice, etc.)
