Kankakee School District 111

The Kankakee School District Maintenance Department supervises and facilitates the general upkeep and operations of the eleven School Buildings and Grounds in District #111.  Including, but not exclusive to the following services:

• Building Repairs - roofing, window, fencing, plumbing and HVACsystems, along with general building repairs  
• Custodial Services - 48 Custodial employees service the 11 district buildings and transportation department.
• Pest Control - Master Tech Pest Exclusion facilitates the pest control program at KSD #111
• Lawn Care - Mowing, trimming, and mulch placement are included
• Snow Removal - plowing all parking lots and walkways on snowy school days
• Athletic Fields - preparations for all field games including soccer, flag football, baseball, and softball is done by our Grounds Department.  Clean up from games and larger activities are also done by our Grounds crew. 
• Maintenance Projects - upgrades to electronic, lighting (outdoor and indoor), HVAC and plumbing systems

• District #111’s Maintenance staff include Carpenters, Painters, Electricians, HVAC Technicians and Plumbers from the Building and Construction Trades Craftsman Union. (7 staff members)
• KSD 111 full time Custodial staff is supported by the SEIU local #73 Union.  (48 staff members)
