Student Registration

Welcome to Kankakee School District 111!

All students, regardless of grade level, must complete registration before starting school.

  • New Student Registration – Kankakee School District (K-12)

    • If you are registering a new student to the district, you may visit any school building’s main office to start the registration process. If you have any questions, contact the Curriculum & Instruction Office at 815-802-7720.
    • If you are registering a preschool student, please see the Preschool Eligibility and Enrollment Requirements.
  • Returning Student Registration –  Kankakee School District (All Students)

    For all returning students, please make sure that your child is up to date on all required immunizations and physical exams for their grade level. Keeping these health records current is important for your child’s well-being and is required for school attendance. 

    Additionally, please ensure that registration is fully completed in Skyward Family Access, our secure online student information system, so that your child’s information is accurate and ready for the upcoming school year. 

    Completing both steps early helps ensure a smooth start to the school year for your student and the school staff.  

  • Please understand that registration requires submitting the following health and identification documents:

    Required Documents:

    • Guardian’s ID
    • Student’s birth certificate or guardianship paperwork
    • Proof of residence (lease/mortgage and two current utility bills)


    All forms and documents must be submitted to your child’s school main office to ensure a smooth start to the school year.
