Substitute Teacher Information

Qualifications:  Bachelor's degree in any area, not just in education.

To sign up:

• Obtain a substitute teacher card from the I-Kan Regional office of Education at 189 East Court Street Kankakee
• Bring that card with your Social Security and identification to the Kankakee District #111Human Resources Office, Room 214, Lincoln Cultural Center, 240 Warren Kankakee, IL between 8:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M. Monday – Friday

Incentive Pay Scale:

• $105 per day

Long term substitutes who replace the same teacher for more than 20 continuous days are paid $190 per day.

Substitute Aide Information

• Criminal Background check is required

Substitute Custodian Information

• Demonstrate stable work history
• Criminal Background check is required

Substitute Food Service Worker Information

•   Line Servers-Dishwashers-Cooks-Cashiers
•    3 to 5 hours per day
•    No experience necessary - will train
•    Criminal Background check is required
