Student Support Services

  • Our vision focuses on providing high quality academic and behavioral supports and services for all students within the MTSS framework that focuses on data based decision making and fidelity of interventions to promote inclusive practices.


    The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) provides for a free appropriate public education for all individuals with disabilities between the ages of 3 and 21.  In order to be responsive to the diverse educational needs of all its students, the Student Support Services Department of Kankakee School District #111 provides a continuum of services to be considered in determining the appropriate educational program for each student.  These services are determined by the level of need of the student.

    We have professionals on staff specializing in the following areas:

    • Physical Therapists
    • Psychologists
    • Social Workers
    • Nurses


    In partnership with students, families, staff and the community, The Kankakee School District #111, Student Support Services Department promotes the educational achievement of all students in a unified system.


    Kankakee School District #111 provides a full spectrum of educational programs ranging from consult services through self-contained classes.
